I just receive it yesterday, used it right away (received it within 24 hours). Definitely a great product, better than the one I had, this is very firm but soothing to my lower back and upper back. There are a variety of causes and contributing factors that trigger back pain. 6) A Herniated Disc is most likely to occur in one of the five vertebrae that make up lumbar part of the spine. A herniated disc is also referred to as a slipped disc, or a ruptured disc. These round, flat disks lie in between each of the vertebrae and act as cushions, or shock absorbers, as you move about. They consist of a tough, flexible outer ring encasing a gel-like center. Due to either wear and tear or injury, the center gel-like substance may begin to press against the outer ring. If it comes into contact with, and irritates, the spinal nerves, pain will be felt in the lower back. The gel and outer ring normally come into contact with only the nerves on one side of the spine. If this happens to be on the left spinal side, you will experience pain in the left side of the back’s lumbar portion. If the gel pushes all the way through the ring, the disk is said to be herniated. This may actually relieve your discomfort, but the pain may spread down into one of the legs since the sciatic nerve may be affected.

I have had lower back pain, left hip and left leg pain for several months. I have also had a bad back for 21 years so the pain comes and goes. this pain seems like Nerve pain and is very persistent in the left leg but seems to come and go in the left hip and back.
